This is your boat float plan, and you’ll want to spend time creating it and ensuring you don’t forget any critical detail that can help speed up rescue efforts.

Ideally, create a float plan before each trip and include details, such as the starting and end points of your outing, intended route, passenger information, and emergency contact numbers. You'll also want to give a detailed description of your boat, such as its dimensions, brand, model name, and any specific and easily identifiable markings.
